Quiet Womans Row

Wynns at Wolverhampton

Picture Shows Driver Bill Wade (Right) and Crewe at Wolverhampton. Possible in the John Tompson works or Edward Danks. The are with a Scammell Contractor, the trailer would have probably been No 888, a German Scheurle trailer which had a villiers donkey engine which usually took about three weeks to start.

My Favourite Picture of Pill

This is probably my favourite picture of Pill. I took this in Kings Parade on the morning of Christmas Eve 1990. The roofs were white with frost and the sun low and weak. I took it into the light turning the foreground into shadows. It reminded me of an Old Pill Christmas of the late 1950s , without the hype, and the madness. It was a beautiful thing to remember.
