Newport at War WW1 1914 - 1918

We begin this new section with a selection of images kindly shared by Mr Christopher Williams, who's family lived in Raglan Street for many years. The pictures relate to William James Williams who joined in 1914 serving in the South Wales Borderers and eventually in Macedonia. There is a rare image of the Newport Athletic Club volunteers which we assume were a company in the style of the "Pals"
