A snapshot future

Digital photography has perhaps at last killed the concept that the camera never lies. The ease in which images can be altered transformed and manipulated leaves major doubts if photography can be considered a rteliabe form of evidence in terms of Historic research. Here we see a fine selection of snapshots from the 1950/60s of Parades and events around Newport. SOme fascinating subjects such as the Neptune Inn are shown if only in part. The old Western Welsh bus station in Kingsway and, remember Rag Week are featured.
